Art was always one of my favourite subjects in school, and it’s fascinating to me how much can be done with a brush and some paint.
All of the different types of paint… the possibilities, textures, opacities, and my gosh, the COLOURS. As a child, I would make sure my paints/markers/crayons were put away properly in rainbow order (who am I kidding, I still do that… and also HOW did no one notice I was #autisticAF) and sometimes would spend time just looking at the colours.
I think it’s a result of my love of colours that so many of my pieces are strange and wild. Experimenting with changing up colours, leaning into textures, and adding glitter are some of my favourite ways to play with paint.
